Electrical problem
1998 Honda Accord 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive 230000 miles

i have a 4 cylinder 98 Honda Accord EX 2.3 lit. On thanks giving night, my engine light went on and I tried probing what the problem was. I checked my ECU using an O.B.D 2 reader. It showed that my 3rd cylinder was misfiring. I checked my coolant and found that it was bone dry as well.
first thing is first, I went on to fill my coolant and then proceeded to change my spark plugs and wires as well.
turned my ignition on, the car would crank but my motor would not kick in. I checked my wire from the distributor cap and everything was just fine with the. I went on to change the rotor in the distributor cap hoping that would help, but noooooo.
well am out of ideas n just hoping that some body might have an idea of what to do in this scenerior.
i checked the head gasket and found that it was oozing a small amount of oil. And yes, I checked the fuel pump as well. Its as fit as a fiddle (great condition). Could this be an ECU problem or something else. Any idea shining armors?

The first thing to check would be the placement of the new wires. It is possible they are all off by one. This happens a lot of the time. I can't say if they are off clockwise or counter. But that is what I might suspect.

Thanks Bruce. I already placed the wires in the sequence they are supposed to be at. The sequence is 1342 counter clockwise. Am only not sure of how the cylinders are arranged on the motor block. I assume that facing the motor block, the cylinders are arranged from right to left 1234 right?
