Is best to rebuild your original starter or to purchase a rebuilt started? Why?

If you can get the parts you need, rebuilding yourself is feesible. If you go with a reman (high quality) you will get a warranty if it has a problem, self rebuilt wont. When rebuilding you will need to surface the armature, replace the solenoid, brushes. From a business standpoint reman is the way to go, DIY go for it
