1997 Honda Accord enginre smoking at high RPM

Hi, a guy wants to sell me his 97 honda. He says the only thing wrong with it is it smokes at 5000 rpms. He says it may be just something minor. Could it be bad rings? Anyone know of a honda ring defect?

You need an engine compression check to rule it out between the valves and rings-could be the valve guides/seals problem-If I were you walk away from it could get expensive
