My 97 honda accord won't start in cold mornings. The engine cranks and turns over and everything, it just won't catch on to actually run. The first time this happened, after trying for about one hour, it finally did. Last morning, it took about 4 hours. Tomorrow morning it probably won't at all. Please help!

Hi fredderf,

There are some items that you need to do to verify which system is causing the fault.
1. Ignition, check for sparks at plug. Pull out a wire and attach a spark plug, ground it to engine and crank, checking for sparks while cranking. Spark should be bright blue and NOT orange.

2. Fuel. You need to check the fuel pressure at fuel rail.

3. Are the dash lights working while you are trying to start? Does the Check Engine Light goes off after 2 seconds of turning ignition switch to ON?
