Daughter's car keeps overheating. Has had the thermostat and all hoses replaced. Radiator is full. She has had the car to 3 different places and they keep telling her nothing is wrong and that her thermostat is okay. She even had it to AZ (you know the place) and they said nothing was wrong. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Could be air lock in the cooling system -try bleeding it and see what happens-if it continues to overheat get it block and pressure tested

Thank you for responding so quickly. I will let her know. I want to help her to maintain a reliable vehicle as she has 2 little girls. It's difficult as there are a few states between us. I may be asking more questions in the future. Thanks again.

With the engine at a warm idle do you build pressure in the coolant reservoir or see bubbles coming up from the hose to the radiator?

@james w. That is what my car is doing. I don't understand. Just put in new radiator, checked thermostat and seems fine thought maybe water pump but if you have any thoughts I'd greatly appreciate it.

Hi,

Mike, can you explain what is happening? If you are seeing bubbles in the coolant, that could be a sign of a bad head gasket leaking compressed air into the cooling system. Take a look through this link. It explains different symptoms of a head gasket issue. Let me know if anything mirrors what you are experiencing.

Take care,
