1995 Honda Accord Engine Light

My engine light has been going on and off for the last couple off weeks. Not sure what it is.I checked the spark pluggs and noticed oil was inside?I don't think thats normal.

Hi jsia1020,

Oil in plug tube indicates a leak in the plug seals under the valve cover or the O rings under the cam carriers.

When the Check engine light is indicating, an error has been detected in the emission or engine management system.

You need to retrieve the trouble code to understand what is causing it.

Use a jumper wire between the SCS connector and turn igntion switch ON. The check engine should start blinking. A delay flash = 10 and a short quuick flash = 1. A short pause is a continuation of the code and a dealy pause means the start of the next code. The cycle would repeat after all codes are flashed. Get the code and let me know what they are.
