I got a 1994 Honda accord ex and when im driving down the road and when ever I reach 2500rpm in every gear my car sputters and almost sounds like it is misfiring. It doesnt do it at idle or when I get on the gas it just seems to do it whenever I am just at the 2500rpm and when im just cruising at 55mph which is about at that rpm. What do you think it could be?

Hi mxmaniac07,

If the misfiring disappears after the 2,500 then it most probably is the EGR system malfunctioning.

If you are not able to get past the rpm, then it might be due to insufficient fuel delivered, check the fuel filter.

Hi mxmaniac07,

If disconnecting the EGR vacumn elimanates ths problem, the EGR system is malfunctioning.

Does the Check Engine Light shows?
