Hi
My car starts shuddering once warmed up and above 65 Mph, mostly noticeable during long uphills but once the shuddering starts it continues on flat as well. The shuddering feels like the a bump in the tire or driving over a rumble strip. Ignition and fuel system checked out fine.

Thanks

Hi prassi,

Is it vibration that you are experiencing and only at high speeds with slight throttle pressure?

If yes, the you should check wheel balancing and CV shaft inner joints for wear and lack of lubrication.

Vibration is not from the wheels (I know the kind of shimmy you get from wheels out of balance) This happens mostly on uphill pulls at higher speed (>60). Although the CV haft was newer replaced yesterday - still problem exists. The vibration is more like jumping.

Hi prassi,

I am unable to figure out the symptoms description and wonder if you are able to give a detailed description of what is actually happening.
1. Does the vibration reduces when cruising? Decelerating? Coasting without throttle pressure?
2. Could it be a misfiring and the vehicle is jerking?
3. Where is the vibration coming from, front, rear right, left or entire vehicle?
