I JUST RECENTLY HAD TO REPLACE THE DISTRIBUTOR AND NOW THE CAR STARTS BUT DOESN'T SEEM TO ACCELERATE UNLESS IN HEADING DOWN HILL OR ON FLAT GROUND. IT DOESNT SEEM TO GO UPHILL?

Inspect and test all the following listed below:

Oxygen sensor
Dirty fuel injectors (cleaning the injectors often fixes this).
Bad MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor
Bad TPS (throttle position) sensor
Bad or dirty MAF (mass airflow) sensor
Low fuel pressure (leaky fuel pressure regulator or weak fuel pump)
Vacuum leaks (intake manifold, vacuum hoses, throttle body, EGR valve)
Bad gasoline (fuel contaminated with water or too much alcohol)
Dirty or worn spark plugs
Bad plug wires
Weak ignition coil
Cap and rotor

Note:If it doesn't apply disregard.

OK, First thing after you replaced the dist. Did you adjust the timing back to factory specs? Also I know it may sound crazy but there is a big ground strap running to the motor from the body of the car possibly connected to the thermostat housing bolt check to make sure it isn't loose or coroded. I had a friend of mine that had the same problem with his Accord and we threw parts at this thing for weeks and nothing helped. When I went to pull the thermostat I noticed the bolt was coroded inside the bolt hole we cleaned it with a wire brush and put it back together and now the car runs like a champ. Just a few things to try for free before you start dumping money in to it let me know what happens
