I think my engine is revving in low gears at a high rpms and sometimes when im driving at around 50-60 miles per hour my rpms fluctuate and it even feels like the engine is cutting out but when I take my foot off the accelerator and step on it again it goes away. Im not a mechanic so im stumped!

I wish you could be clearer. Automatic tranny?

When you are driving the car will not stay at a constant speed? The engine should not rev without the car speed becoming erratic.

Does it idle fine?

It idles fine and I have an automatic. Even when im accelerating slowly it revs pretty high in low gear but my real concern is the rpm chipping out when im at a constant speed and the engine feels like its also chipping out but only till I take my foot off the accelerator and apply it again.
