1988 Honda Accord Swapping engines?

Hi there,

Just a word of caution, Honda are the past master of subtle engine change. What looks the same may not be, I found out the hard way myself. I fitted an engine for a customer that he supplied with a guarantee from the supplier that it would fit, all look good to me as well. It fitted no problems, but there was a very slight difference in the shape of the engine loom plug, and different pin locations, so it had to come out again. Just make absolute sure that it will fit, look at every thing, and I mean every thing. The two engine I had were from identical models built 6 months apart.
