I need to know how hard it is to replace the fuel injector seals on a 1988 honda accord lxi. They are leaking a small amount of gas. Thanks doug

Hi there,

This is not a hard job to do. First you have to depressurize the fuel system, make sure the engine is cold and no smoking. Disconnect fuel in let and return lines and unbolt fuel rail unplug each injector make sure that you number each so you remember where they go. The fuel rail and injectors will now come free from the in let manifold. The lower seal is an "o" ring replace and lube with a little rubber grease if you are replacing the to seals, from memory there is a sliding locking tab that you remove to withdraw the injector and replace the top o rings. To re fit is the reverse procedure, the fuel system is self priming, check for leas, if at all in doubt get a qualified mechanic to do the job.
