1987 Honda Accord fan does not shut off

The fan will continue to run after auto has been turned off. I will continue to run sometimes long enough to drain the battery.

Hi winmccain,

Check the fan relay, it is intermittently contacting causing the fan to continue running.

Another item to check would be the fan switch located at bottom of radiator. When fan starts working, unplug the connector and if fan stops, the fan switch is faulty.
