Hesitates and stutters when starting?

When I push the start button the car hesitates and stutters before it will turn over and come on. I haven't had anything replaced recently and I first noticed this about a week ago. I could be wrong but I kind of feel like it is gradually taking more and more time before turning on and doing that stuttering thing longer and longer, but I'm not positive yet. There are no maintenance lights on or anything like that.

Hello, when was the last time the battery was checked, or the vehicle system scanned? These can be done for free at any parts store or a code reader can be purchased for around $20 on Amazon: https://a.co/d/91WaF8X

While the vehicle is running, we need to listen for any whistling or sucking sounds, or strange smells like gasoline or exhaust.
