Headlights turn off intermittently

My envoys headlights will turn off sporadically when driving at night. I have changed the headlight relay and it worked for about a week. Now the headlights will turn off again while driving, but then turn on again when you shut the car off and then won't turn off draining my battery. What can I do to fix this?

If they are on all the time now or at least do not shut off once they are on, you should be able to trace the power back to where the issue is. Either you have a short in a wire or possibly an issue with the fuse block.

Just want to make sure you replaced the relay 46 as there is a separate relay for the fog lamps and high beams so we need to make sure it is the correct one.

Lastly we may have an issue with the switch as well. Clearly the fact that after the relay was replaced they seemed to work would point to a relay issue especially since they are now not shutting off as well. However, this may be a coincidence.

When the lights are on, let's pull the relay and reinstall it and see if they shut off. Also, when you remove it, is it hot?
