So recently I got pulled over because my headlights weren’t on (only my fog lights), but it said they were on my dashboard. He flipped it to auto and my lights were on. Well now when I have them on auto my brights stay on and I would rather not blind people. So now I’m driving around at night with only my fog lights on. Just wondering if I would need to replace my bulbs or what. But they will not work whenever I have the knob turned to my low-beam lights.

Hello,

This could be a short in your vehicle's headlight switch. I have included for you in the diagrams below a diagnostic troubleshooting guide for your vehicle's headlight switch. It will require you to use a multi-meter set to the Ohms (resistance) setting. If you are unfamiliar with how to use a multi-meter I have included a link below for you to go to.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-use-a-voltmeter

Otherwise please go through the diagnostic troubleshooting guide in the diagrams down below and be sure to let us know what you find out.

Thanks,
Alex
