Want to add aftermarket daytime running light module to run stock low beam lights in the daytime. Should I tap in the wiring behind the headlights or behind the dimmer switch? There is a 13 pin harness that hooks to the dimmer switch but I do not know what wire does what. Is there a wiring diagram available?

Did the factory DRL system stop working? It should already be set up to run the high beam lamps at a lower power for the DRLs.

It does not have factory DRL's, I want to add it. I do not want to add LED lights just a module to run the regular low beams during the day. I have instructions with the unit, just wondered where to tap the low beams.

HMM, the factory claims they all had DRLs controlled through a plug in module.

Anyway, it depends on the way the module you have works and how it activates the DRLs? How does it turn off the DRLs to enable high beams? If you wire it to activate the low beam relay it needs a way to shut that off for high beams. What is the make, model and part number of the module, looking at the install instructions would make it easier.
That is mainly because most newer vehicles don't switch the power side, they switch the ground so you have to be careful what you add.
