Just changed head gaskets due to water seeping in the pistons. After test driving it to the grocery store, on the way back my dash indicated something is wrong with the oil. I then quickly checked the engine temperature and it was normal, however I did stop and checked the dip stick. And for my luck or stupidity I have blown head gasket again. Now it's coolant in the oil. So my question is, where exactly could I have gone wrong? And what's the recommended gasket sealer you would say?

Good morning,

Did you change the oil and filter when you did the procedure?

The gasket may have failed for many reasons.

1. Improper torque. You must use new head bolts. If you use old ones, they will stretch and fail

2. The head could be warped. When you had it off, you should have had a machine shop check it for being warped.

3. The head could be cracked from overheating.

No to any sealer. You must never use any type of sealer on the gasket or it will definitely fail. I posted a YouTube video below for you of the procedure.
