Have had a power door window problem. Removed the inside panel and think it is one of the switches. Put the panel back on and now the car will not start. I think the alarm shut it down, pulled the ground from the battery and reset still no go. How can I clear the alarm to use the car?

Hello, I am Danny.

I have attached a tutorial showing how to reset the Anti-Theft System. Scroll to find the Ford section and we will go from there.

Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.

Read this article before. Thought I might get some ideas on how to actually fix the problem so I can get the wife to work.

Hello,

Is the security light flashing?

Hold the panic button on the key fob for two seconds. Close all of the doors and while using the key lock and use the key to unlock the lock the driver's door. If that does not work remove the negative battery cable for fifteen seconds and reconnect.

Let us know what happens.

Tried that already still no go power windows and door locks are an aftermarket install window mtr was/is rigged to front window switch. Have no ckt. Breaker in fuse box had one wire to window mtr broken off soldered on length of wire to terminal. Key fob is problematic as far as working door locks, have been using key lock for a while. If there is a plan "c" I would like to hear it both a and b are in the wind so to speak.

So is the security light flashing, does the engine crank and not start or not crank over? Also make sure the window switch on the drivers side is plugged in. Lets check the system fuses as well here are the wiring diagrams for the alarm, doors and windows so you can see how the system works and it shows which fuses to check.

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.
