Has this car been tampered with?

My question: "Can a 2010 Mazda 3 sGr. Touring hatchback that comes with only a 2.5L I-4 have a single factory exhaust as opposed to the factory dual exhaust? If it was after market modified with only single exhaust would it run and be safe for the 2.5 l engine? The only? Want to purchase this car but I can't figure out how he claims to have a 2.5 l motor but only has single exhaust? He also has a "sky active " logo on rear hatchback but engine can't be a sky active model. As they were only avail in 2012

"Buyer Beware" If you are questioning these things, that isn't a good sign. As far as the exhaust, as long as the engine can breath, it doesn't matter if it is duel or single exhaust. However, IF it had duel exhaust from the factory, that tells me he also played with the oxygen sensors which could lead to issues for you.

As you mentioned, the sky active wasn't available till 2012. He could have put the emblem on it himself, which in its own way bothers me.
