My Yukon starting making some clicking sounds a couple of months ago and it sounded as if a relay was just chattering. I do have a remote electric start installed on the vechicle. The chattering would come and go and did not effect the operation or runnoing of the vechicle. Yesterday when trying to start the vechicle with the key in the ignition, the car did nothing. No bumps or whistles and no acknowledgement the key was even in the ignition. Upon using the remote starting, the vechicle did start. After incerting the key into the ignition and turning it to the appropriate ignition setting, the RPM, gas gauge, temperarture gaugue will not function. When put in gear the vechicle runs rough and the speedometer does not work at all. The car has a new battery and has been properley maintained according to the book standars.

It could be caused from the remote start system. You will have to disconnect all of it to properly diagnose the vehicle. It is also possible to have a bad ignition switch causing the concern.
