2000 GMC Yukon low oil pressure

My Yukon has been running low oil pressure below 40 and I drive about 100 miles a day; Yesterday I got 3/4 the way home and it sounded like it was low on oil and the pressure dropped to around 10; Is this the oil pump or maybe oil filter dirty in the pan?

What you need to do is hook-up a mechanical gauge where the oil pressure sending unit is-normal pressure replace the oil pressure switch abnormal could mean oil pump and engine bearings
