I own a 93 GMC Yukon. The 4 wheel drive just quit the other day. It wont engage the front differential and the l4 wheel drive light does not come on. I switched out the actuator and it still does not work. I checked the wiring going into the actuator with an electrical tester and there is no curent going to it when shifting the vehicle into 4 wheel drive. What else could be the problem?

Check your four wheel drive fuse in your fuse box. If that doesn't work you may have to check the main wiring junction box to make sure all terminals have good connections. Also do just check the plug for the acuator, check the plugs on the actual Tranfer case to see if the current is present there. You may have a wire that got pinched or burned or like I said you may have no power from fuse box. I have seen both.
