Fuel filter

I have a 1999 GMC sonoma and I want to change the fuel filter. I bought a new filter and on the box it says that the fuel system may be preasurized and to follow manufactors specs. Is there a special way that I have to replace this filter, or can I just take the old one off and put the new one on? It's a 6cyl. Vortex engine. Thank you for your time, Kevin

Yeah, you can just pull off the old one, but it will spit at you. Just spit back!

And if you don't like to be spit back find the relay or the pump fuse- start the engine then remove it and let it die on its own-now go attack that filter and what's out it might require a special tool to remove it-eye ball it first assess the situation than take action.

Remember No smoking and Childrens allowed while you doing this. Safety comes first before the filter.
