Airbag reset

2000 gmc sonoma with 65,000 miles. I had the carpet replaced and ever since then the airbag light will not distinguish.
How do you reset it?

Check to see if you have airbag codes
once the problem resolved light will go out
you need a scaner
most shops will charge about $45
you can have them pull the codes and reset it at the same time but I think you have a problem in the system or maybe something disconected
codes will help

I plugged in my OBD II scanner & "NO CODES" came up. It only reads engine codes.
What can I do next?
What are points?

did you try to scan BCM for codes

you need to scan air bag system

Did you check to see if it's unplugged behind the dash. I had the same issue and all I had to do was plug it back in
