Hi how did the truck run before?
This normally is a plugged exhaust. Convertor or muffler or even a crushed tube.

Loosen the exhaust and see if the truck runs. Get back with me after you try this thanks billymac

Make sure you have fuel delivery aswell.

To test: Put your window down(so you dont hear the door chime.) And turn your ignition off, You should hear a whuuring noise coming from your fuel tank. (Signaling your fuel pump is working properly)

If it is working:
Remove quick-disconnect line from fuel filter, let fuel drain out. Then turn your ignition back on(letting fuel pump run). Turn it off. When you remove the quick disconnect again you should have fuel coming out which lets you know your filter is fine.

IF THAT IS ALL WORKING: Locate your fuel pressure regulator and remove the line, (careful it is a hard plastic line) Then try to start your truck. If no fuel comes out, your fuel pressure regulator is ok, If fuel DOES come out, it IS broken.

Hit back with more info, im not too familiar on the 6cyl but I have a 4cyl sonoma with every possible problem. Ha
