Transmission problem
2002 GMC Sierra V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 105k miles

I noticed my truck was shifting last like it was in tow/haul mode. I got n the freeway and floored it and it reved all the way till the rev limiter kicked it back down and it just stayed high constantly triggering the limiter. Like a: rin rin rin. When I drive it doesnt shift on time and I have to feather the pedal to get it to shift at low speeds. Also it wont down shift on time either. Another thing is that when I maually shift it doesnt respond either. Could it be a sensor gone bad causing a malfunction in the system? Low fluids? Or just spent transmission?

Do You tow? At 100k miles is a good time to change the transmission filter. Sometimes this helps, other times it does nothing. Check your fliud too. There are a few sensors, but tranmissions do die young sometimes. To change the filter is easy and cheap, to rebuild. About $1,500
