Hello, the bat terminal is ignition feed, the wire goes hot when you turn on the key. I thought it was a pink wire?

No, it`s a light blue wire coming from front of bat terminal, in front of group of wires going in to distributor plug. This has been butchered by previuos owners so I can`t say all colors are correct.

On the hei distributors I've looked at, the single terminals are labeled, bat and tach. The bat terminal is ignition feed, goes hot when you turn on the key, primary voltage to the coil, without that, no spark at the plugs. The tach terminal is signal, you can hook a testlite to it, to check for pulse with engine cranking.
