My 2003 safai's passenger door has dropped slightly and when I try to open the door, parts of the doorlock rub on the stationary post that is holding the door shut. Tis binds up the door a bit and makes it hard to open.

I tried to adjust this by loosening the post with a torx and slide it down slightly but I found out that the hole which the post screws into is real tight and does not allow for any up/down adjustment. I was always able to do the adjusting in other vehicles but this one got me.
I could make the hole oblong with a file but I am afraid to unscrew the post completely in fear of dropping the nut down inside of the door frame. Any suggestions?
thanks

Door hinges a welded so no help there. Check hing pins if worn and loose can get repair kit. If all tight then door sprung due to entering truck pushing down on armrest. So here is what you do get a hammer place the handle at bottom of door on kick plate. About 2 feet from jam then close door on handle give it couple good pushes. Try and close repeat until desired fit.
