1997 GMC Safari 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

The thottle sticks lately on my GMC Safari Van. I don't feel any hang up on the throttle cable. Does the throttel plates on the throttle body prone to going bad making throttel plates stick?

It has a tendecy to hang up if it kept in a certain position for an extended time such as long highway miles over the years. Try some throttle body cleaner first before you start looking at the plate.
