No heat/AC blowing!

Hi,

I have a 2002 Buick LeSabre custom. It has 91,000 miles on it. I am guessing it is the fan that started to make this grinding like noise when turning on the heat when it got cold out this winter. The grinding noice stopped shortly after the car warmed up. Then one day it just stopped blowing heat, but some days, 20 to 60 minutes into my ride, it starts blowing heat again. The last few days it will not blow at all. If I set it on vent some heat is forced through the vents just by momentum I guess, but that is all the heat I am getting. Could this be the heater motor? I am new to owning a car and know very little about it's parts. I do not want to get ripped off when I take it in. Can you help me?

Sounds like the blower motor. You can pick one up at the local auto part store and install it yourself, it not very complicated, aslong as it's in an easy place to get to!
