I have a 1997 chevy astro awd with 146k, when cold starts right up, after run for an extended period, 1 hour or more becomes hard to start. Cranks for up to 15 seconds then starts, I noticed oil pressure gauge is at zero while cranking then shoots up to 60 lbs. And starts right up. Fuel pump and filter was replaced [non oem] about a year ago. Thanks joe mac.

The fuel punp circuit goes through the oil pressure SW. Replace it and I think you problems will be over. It is located on the top rear back of the engine. Good luck
