Fuel pump

I Have a 1994 cadillac eldorado and a couple months back I started hearing a loud humming noise near the gas tank. Shortly after that the car started to start hard and sometimes would stall out and then take some cranking to get it to fire again. Could this be a faulty fuel pump??

It is a normal for a GM fuel pump to hum with some age. However if it goes along with your symptoms it may be bad. It is in the tank so make sure you have an empty tank when you have it fixed. Good Luck
