1996 Other GMC Models fuel system issue

Always starts 3-4 seconds. Sometimes now after shutdown , cranks but won't fire unless I put my foot down on accelerator. Left for some hours it will fire up again as usual. No visible leaks, and runs good on the highway.

ideas?

A fuel filter replacement is a verygood thing to do especially in these type of cases. Alsosome of these trucks during that model year would seem like a failed fuel pump which it did, but you need to get a correct delco one tat includes teh 12" of harness that goes bad and has to be replaced. Especially if you have replaced the fuel pump recently.
