I was driving down the road at 55 and all of a sudden the engine dropped down to 40. I got it home and now when I take off about 10 miles per hour is all I can get it to go. What is the poblem?

Do you hear anything rattle? Like it was comming from the exaust? Are there any unusual smells coming from the converter or does it get extremly hot. Check the catalitic converter to see if it is clogged.
