1996 GMC Jimmy

Transmission problem
1996 GMC Jimmy 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 231K miles

I have a 1996 Jimmy with 231,000 miles the guy I bought it off of said the trans. Was rebuilt the problem is with the four wheel drive it has the push button and it shifts just fine into four wheel but when you try to go back into two wheel you can here it clicking and you have to keep going forward and reverse to get in to I found the easist way is to pull up against a snow bank and slowly press the gas to get the tires spinning and them press the button and it goes the first time but I wont be able to do that come spring also not sure it matters but the Jimmy has a four inch suspension lift on it
