My 90 GMC with a 5.7 TBI motor while it's in gear at a stop idling if I accel. Slow just off an idle it runs really ruff until I accel pass that spot. If I accel. Fast it will skip past that ruff idle and accel. Normal. Also if I want while in gear I can accel. Just a touch and hold that rpm where it runs ruff until I accel. A touch more then it starts to accel. Like normal.I have recently installed a new fuel pump, and filter but this seems like a sensor or something. THANKS!

It sounds like you have a bad TPS sensor, (throttle position sensor), it is located on the right side of the engine, at the throttle body the forward sensor just in front of the IAC (idle air control sensor).
