Is there any way of retreiving trouble codes without a scanner, such as the old way on some Chryslers you could turn the ignition switch from off to on three times? The service engine soon light came on but there seems to be no change in idle, fuel milage, or anything else that I can tell. 1998 GMC K1500, 5.7 L, 79,000 miles. Thanks for any help.
