The tensioner will have eitehr a bolt to hold it tight or on a spring and you can use either 3/8 or 1/2 drive rachet or a bolt going through teh pulley to loosen it. It will go the oppisite direction of the belt to loosen it. If it's on a spring it will be harder to move so just don't release it.
