1997 Geo Prizm A '95 Prizm Transmission into a '97 Prizm

I have a 1997 Geo Prizm with a kaput tranny, and now I am attempting to swap it with a 1995 Prizm transmission. Is this possible? They are both 5 Speed Manual Transmissions.

Shold not be a problem as long as they are the same tranny's.

Call a local junk yard and ask. They have very presice interchangability information.

Although the 97 is OBDII controlled and the 95 is OBDI controlled, it should not affect a manual trans. But call the junk yard to be sure before you start.
