If I turn the A/C off before turning off the ignition does that help prolong the life of the A/C?

This is question about all cars, including mine listed above. I have good strong A/C, which always blows cold. I usually have on medium-high living in Florida. But, my question is. Is it better for the A/C to last longer. To keep A/C on when I turn off the ignition? Or should I always turn off A/C first, then turn on ignition? Does it make a difference? Or will one way make the A/C last longer without problems?

Good morning,

It does not make a difference at all.

No matter what, the relay will energize when the A/C is commanded on whether it is with the key or from the control head.

It will not effect how long you will go with out any issues.

Thank you. I have always wondered if it was better to turn the A/C off first? Or just leave it on, and let it turn off automatically, when you turn off ignition. It sounds like it doesn't make a difference? When you want to make the A/C last as long as possible, without any issues! Now I know.
