Gear shifter on the column

When I took the car into a transmission place the shifter was a little off but when I got the car back the shifter was way off when you put it in park it looks like it is in reverse, in neutral it is in reverse, the first d is neutral. Can this be fixed and will it damage the transmission?

Take it back and have them fix it they should do for free

Thank you they told me that wasn't there fault and they aren't responsible for any damage done to the transmission by the shifter

It's their fault they pulled it out to rebuild it an ddidn't adjust range selector or damaged it.
