Hi,

If this has a factory amp, the fuse for it is fuse 16 in the under-hood fuse box. It is a 40-amp fuse. See pic below

When you check this, also confirm there is power to and from it.

Here is a link you may find helpful:

Pics 2 and 3 show the fuse in question and fuse box location.

Let me know what you find or if you have questions.

Take care,

Joe

This was perfect and accurate, but I am still having the issue that I have no sound to my vehicle. I do have an aftermarket radio but it was working fine until I tried to hook up my backup cam and still failed and after the sound disappeared. If anyone knows the problem, please let me know.

Hi,

Does the radio turn on? Did you check if there is power to the amp itself? As far as the backup camera, where did you get power from and where did you get a ground?

Let me know.

Hi,

That is going to drive you crazy. There are so many wires related to the OEM design. What I would suggest is to simply gain power via a backup light bulb. When you place the vehicle in reverse, the backup lamps turn on which will power the unit. At least that is how I've seen them done on other vehicles.

By chance, do you have the wiring schematic for the new one? If so, could you upload it so I can see what they are recommending?

Let me know.

Hi,

I understand now. LOL Here is the thing. Without being there to study the new radio schematic, I'm not sure I can help. If possible, upload the schematic that came with the radio, and I'll see if I can help.

Take care,

Joe
