Every time I go fill up the pump keeps stopping and popping the handle like I am full even though I know I am not. I have tried every angle and depth into the hole I can and to no avail.

Have you checked the computer for trouble codes yet? It sounds like you have a problem with the gas tank vent valve.

There is no check engine light on or anything. Have no idea how to check the computer or have the equipment to do so. Was hoping it was a common problem someone already knew about. :(

In any newer car I would first suspect the vent valve being stuck closed.

First you would have to make sure it was the vent valve. I would use a fused jumper wire wire and supply power and ground to the vent valve off and on and see if you can hear the valve open and close. Is that something you can do? The valves are back by the gas tank.
