Is there suppose to be a ground wire going from fuel pump to frame or body? It's like I have an extra wire?

Hi,

At the fuel pump, there are only two wires. One is a power supply and the other is ground. The ground is a black wire.

I attached a pic of the connector below. It is a 4 pin connector, but only two of the pins are used. Let me know if that helps or if you have other questions. Also, on the connector side, check pin 3 for continuity to ground to confirm it is the correct pin.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,
