Where is the fuel pump located?

Can't find the fuel pump.

That is an old school mechanical pump mounted right on the engine itself and driven from the camshaft. To replace it is very simple. Disconnect the 2 fuel lines from the pump, then loosen the two bolts on the pump until you can just feel the pump move. Now use a bar and socket to rotate the engine until the camshaft that drives the pump is at the position where the lever has the least amount of tension on it. That is done so that when you install the new one you don't need to fight it and to make the process easier. Now you remove the two bolts, remove the pump and the old gasket. Install the new pump gasket and slowly tighten the bolts while holding the pump in place. Connect the fuel lines and you are done. It takes about an hour depending on which V8 you have.
