Car loses power and starts to jerk?

When stopped for traffic or going uphill the car loses power and starts to jerk before it stops then will be fine as long as my foot is on the gas pedal.

It sounds like the engine is misfiring. do you have a check engine light on? If so, we need to get the codes, here is a guide to help you:

These codes can help us head in the right direction to fix it. It could be a vacuum leak or a fuel injector valve is stuck open. How does the engine seem to run while going down the road?
