When the engine idle I can press the pedal and runs great, but when I test drive it it seems like it is not getting gas. Would like to know how the fuel pump works when I test drive it, thank you.

Good evening,

The fuel pump works the same at idle as it does under load.

It may not be the pump. It could be something else such as a clogged catalytic converter not allowing the engine to breathe.
