I removed the fuel pump relay/ fuse and cranked the engine over for 10 seconds to release full pressure as I was going to inspect the 1st cylinder fuel injector which I suspected was causing the misfiring on that cylinder. I had replaced spark plug and checked and tested the coil and wiring connection. I discovered the sensor wiring to the no 1 cylinder injector was not fully connected. Figured this was the cause of the miss so put the fuse back in and reconnected the battery. Now the engine starts and runs nicely for a few seconds and stops. It seems to me that the fuel pressure has not returned to what it should be Diagnostic tool not showing any fault code. I am a DYI trying to learn I believe the fuel pump is in the fuel tank. Any tips for me on what to do?

When the engine starts and stalls is the security light flashing? If so, this is the problem, and the security system needs to be reset. If not when the engine stalls, try to use starting fluid to see if that changes anything, if so then you are on the right track with the fuel pump. Here is how to check the fuel pressure a step-by-step guide with instructions below to help you with your car, you can rent a fuel pressure gauge from the auto parts store for free or cheap.
