The engine runs rough, loss of power and sputters

Roughs rough. Popping noise. Spits and sputters, weak going. Shakes when idles like it not getting fuel or air like can't breathe so to speak. Shuts off when taking off.

Based on all this info, I suspect we have a vacuum leak. However, we need to check all the basics and find out what is going on.

Let's start with checking for a leak and then fuel pressure. Then we can move onto greater things.

Once we rule these out then we need to check for internal vacuum issues by putting a gauge on the engine and see if the needle is steady or it bounces around.

I am attaching a chart below that will help with this but let's start with this info and see what direction we need to go.
